Technology
is the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical
means and their interrelation with life, society and the environment. In this
definition alone, we can see that technology has a great role in our lives for
it has a relation with society, environment and life as a whole. We have
different gadgets like cell phones, cameras, laptops and tablets; some of the
products of technology that we also use in school especially college students.
Students
nowadays find technology a great help. For instance, a student has a project or
assignment about a literary piece; he/she doesn’t have to read a lot of thick
books to gather information. He/she will just have to surf the net and gotcha!
They could have it all. As for instructors, technology is a time saver. In
computing students’ grades, instructors must make a formula, drag and click
then that’sit! All the students have their grades computed. Technology could
also help the students in proving the validity of their research and so also
the validity of an instructor’s account.Technology could make us updated with
the different issues all over the world without the need of going to far
places. We could learn different cultures and concepts without much effort and
resources. Technology can make the ideas presented more entertaining and
interesting for students.
Nothing
is constant but change and technology is a part of the global change. The role
of technology is not only for change but to make our lives easy. We have to adapt to it if we don’t want to be
left behind. After all, technology is a number of books, a time saver and an
art material to color a student’s life that no book and visual aid can equal.
